Clients have many questions regarding Health Insurance and a prominent health insurance question is “What is a Deductible?”

The term deductible implies the specified dollar amount of out-of-pocket payment that your health insurance company may expect of you before your health insurance policy or plan begins to cover the claims. Deductibles are not guaranteed or required for all health insurance plans. Exceptions do exist, but HMO plans will usually forgo deductible payments. California Health Insurance plans like PPO or Indemnity usually do require deductibles.
